Nick Ryan Gallery presents Interdimensional, a group exhibition featuring seven artists whose diverse practices blur boundaries between painting, collage, sculpture, and installation. United by an interest in material experimentation and alternate perceptions, these artists transform the familiar into complex, layered visions that invite fresh ways of seeing.

Galen Cheney creates richly layered paintings that fuse abstraction with deep explorations of material and psyche, drawing on influences from ancient civilizations to urban graffiti and Abstract Expressionism. Jodi Hays constructs textured collages from bleached and dyed cardboard, evoking patterns of sewing and piecing while bridging the humble and the formal.

Garry Noland’s asymmetrical mixed-media Plan-O-Grams incorporate acrylic, baking soda, reflective tape, and maps on cardboard, pushing formal boundaries through tactile improvisation. Lydia Farrell reimagines suburban landscapes through surreal, fluorescent palettes that blend gothic and paranormal elements, transforming the everyday into otherworldly scenes.

Lisa Rock’s paintings draw from daily urban walks, exploring the dynamic interplay of natural and built environments through color, pattern, and light, balanced between abstraction and representation. Andy Ryan’s watercolor works layer surreal imagery with humor and spirituality, reflecting his Southwestern roots and meditative sensibility. Lucas Thomas combines painting, woodworking, and ceramics to create compositions inspired by geometry, mysticism, and memory, seeking harmony between the built and natural worlds.

Together, these artists grapple with shifting realities and dimensions, between two- and three-dimensional forms, between the seen and the imagined, inviting viewers to reconsider how we experience places, objects, and the world around us.
